address has not changed.

do I change my password?
A. Log in
to https://fsemail.vccs.edu and go to Options,
and use the Change Password function. This
will update your password only in your
Faculty/Staff email account. This password is not
tied to my.vccs.edu, Blackboard, SIS, or
Mirapoint Student Email.
Q. I
forgot my password, what do I do?
A. Call
your local college helpdesk.
Q. How
do I set up my Outlook or Eudora client connect
to the new system?

Q. What
browsers can I use for web access?
A.
Mirapoint supports:
Netscape
v. 7.1 and up (Windows)
Internet Explorer v. 6.0 and up (Windows)
Firefox v. 1.0 and up (Windows)
Safari v. 1.2 and up (Macintosh)
AOL's
browser is not supported.
There are
known compatibility issues with the AOL browser
and several of our VCCS applications. If
your ISP is AOL, connect as usual, then minimize
(do not close) the AOL browser and start up
Internet Explorer. Do all your VCCS work
from the IE browser.
Q. What
operating systems are supported for web access?
A. Four
operating systems are supported.
MS Vista
MS Windows XP (with most recent service pack)
MS Windows 200 (with most recent service pack)
Apple MacOS 10 (most recent release)
Q. How
big is my mailbox?
A. 50
megabytes.
Q. What
is the maximum message size?
A. 15
megabytes.
Q. How
long is my email kept on the system?
A. Email
is kept until you download it to a client. If you
elect to use web access only, it is kept until
you delete it yourself.
Q. How
long is my mailbox kept active on the system?
A. Your
mailbox remains active until your college submits
a delete request.
Q. I
need to send a really big attachment and the
system says the message is too large. What
do I do?
A. Go to
either www.yousendit.com or www.dropload.com and you can use
these free facilities to send really big files.
Q.
Is it possible to have my email automatically
forwarded to my private email address?
A.
Yes, forwarding can be configured in the new
email system by going to Options,
Forwarding. Users should be aware that
forwarding is inherently unreliable do to
the stringent filtering done by many ISPs to
remove Spam. It is recommended that users
who choose to have their email forwarded also
check the box Keep a copy of each forwarded
message and check their VCCS mail regularly
via the web interface.
