IssueTrak Version 7 Upgrade

New Issue Type Structure

In this version of IssueTrak, Types are presented in tree format instead of one long drop-down list.  Any type (or subtype) with additional subtypes will be preceded by a “+” symbol.  Please use subtypes when available to be as specific as possible in order to expedite issue assignment and resolution.

Below is an example of the new tree-based structure to issue types:

Because of the new tree-based format for issue types, ITS will be providing reference guide to help users select the most appropriate choice. Keep in mind several new issue types and subtypes have been created to more accurately categorize requests.

As demonstrated in the request below, the user can be very specific in identifying their  request by using the Primary Type of SIS; Subtype of Access Request; and, Sub-Subtype of Crystal Reports.

SPECIAL NOTE: As a result of the new issue type structure many of the old types has been retired and inactivated. However, any outstanding open issues using these older types will still be visible and accessible via the “Assigned to Me” link from your IssueTrak Home screen.

Trak Tips

Another new feature in this version of IssueTrak is Trak Tips.  To the right of each issue type there is a link called Trak Tips which, when clicked, will pop-up additional information on the use of the issue type you have chosen or any special requirements associated with it.  See the example below on the use of a Trak Tip.
