Quick Pick Issue SubmissionsOne of the most exciting new features of this version of IssueTrak is Quick Picks. Quick Picks allow users to submit the most frequent and common issue types with out all of the manual intervention noted in the previous section. Users simply select a common task, such as password reset or account creation, from the Quick Pick drop-down menu and the system will automatically fill in all of the relevant form information. The system will also pre-populate information prompts in the Subject and Full Description fields, making it easy for users to determine what information is required to resolve the selected Quick Pick issue. As with manual issue submissions, users may alter or edit any of the form fields filled by the Quick Pick selection, however, it is not recommended. Currently our IssueTrak system has been pre-populated with a limited number of Quick Picks based on usage statistics in the previous version of IssueTrak. If you have a suggestion for a frequently used issue, submit a request for a new Quick Pick by selecting the “Quick Pick Request” from the drop down menu. In order to keep the Quick Pick list to a short, succinct list, the IssueTrak Administrator will review all requests for new Quick Pick types for relevance and need. Please note there are both “public” and “private” Quick Pick types. Public types can be seen by all users of the IssueTrak system including college personnel. Private types are only visible to VCCS ITS staff. |
