ITS has upgraded to the latest version (7.2) of IssueTrak on August 10th.
What does this mean to IssueTrak users?
How different is it? Are there major changes in the interface? Will all of my old information be there? Questions, questions, questions…
Fortunately, there aren’t any drastic changes in the user interface or application itself and will maintain the same overall look and feel that everyone is used to. However, there are some distinct enhancements in functionality and options that we wanted to make you aware of, such as the following:
The ability to self reset your password from the login page
- Tree-based issue and sub-issue types (no more searching through along list)
- Introduction of Quick Picks
- Global issue notifications that are affecting large groups of VCCS users
- New ‘dashboard’ interface options
- New customizable reporting engine
- Introduction of Task assignments (initially to be used by System Office staff only)
We strongly recommend checking back to this IssueTrak project web site and on VCCS Discuss under “Support Issues” to get more information about new features and any other changes to the system.
