As you may know, SQA Robot, which was delivered with PeopleSoft 7.6, was not coupled with PeopleSoft Student Administration Version 8. VCCS ITS acquired Rational Robot (the current version/replacement product for SQA Robot) and used some of its features to stress test the Version 8 system prior to go-live.

Since that time, we have been working on packaging the Robot and documentation for use by the general college community. We have created a self-extracting .exe file which may be downloaded and used to install the Robot on the user's PC. Additionally, three documents have been created (and attached here) providing instructions for 1) downloading and installing Robot, 2) creating a Rational project, and 3) using Rational Robot on a web based application. The last document also contains instructions for obtaining a copy of the Rational Robot User's Guide.

Although you will need to re-record any SQA Robot scripts you currently have; those scripts that you modified to process files for data entry can be used as a guide for inserting the same modifications into the newly-recorded scripts. The underlying language of the script is still SQA Basic.
