Over the past week VCCS ITS has been monitoring the process scheduler queues for performance, and after some tweaking and tuning, we see most processes are moving through fairly quickly.  But, we have noticed that some processes are remaining queued and not processing.  Upon investigating these processes, we found the reason for these processes remaining in the queue was that they had been scheduled to execute on an incorrect process scheduler.

Please remember Crystal Reports MUST be scheduled on the PSNT server.  PS Jobs, SQR Reports, COBOL processes and all others MIUST be scheduled on the PSUNX server. We know that there are two other choices (PSNTLET and PSOS390).  These were delivered with version 8 but are not active and have been removed from the list of choices.

As we continue to monitor the process scheduler queues, we will be canceling any process queued to an incorrect scheduler.  We will attempt to notify the user of the cancellation and reason.
