SIS Version 8 Weekly Conference Call Questions and Answers Log

The SIS Version 8 Upgrade Project Weekly Conference Call Questions and Answers (Q&A’s) Log is now available for your review.  The Q&A Log is at the VCCS Version 8 Project web site on the Weekly SIS V8 Upgrade Project Q&A Audio Conference Calls link.  The Q&A’s Log was compiled from questions submitted by the colleges and responses submitted by project team members.  The content of various answers has been updated since the call as result of discussions that occurred during the call.  New Q&A’s will be posted each week through the completion of the project. 

General Conference Call Details

Information Technology Services is hosting a Weekly SIS Version 8 Upgrade Project Audio Conference Call every Friday from 1:00 – 1:50 pm beginning February 4th through March 25th.  The conference call is intended to provide an additional channel for communications on the SIS Version 8 Upgrade Project.  The conference format is a question and answer forum in which colleges can voice questions and concerns related to the SIS Version 8 Upgrade Project.   All questions and concerns must be submitted via email to the following email addresses vadkins@vccs.edu, jmartin@vccs.edu, and mwebb@vccs.edu by noon on the Thursday prior to the Friday conference call.  Please use the attached spreadsheet to submit your weekly questions for future conferences calls.  

 Only questions submitted by noon on Thursday will be answered at the conference call.  Questions submitted after that time, will be deferred until the next conference call unless time allows.  Questions to be addressed at the Friday conference call will be posted prior to the call on the SIS Version8 Upgrade Site at the following link http://helpnet.vccs.edu/ASC/Psoft/PSoft8/Psoft8menu.htm .  Answers presented at the conference call will be posted to the site after completion of the call. 

 Please see the instructions below to connect to the conference call.  Due to the limited number of audio connections available (30 total), college staff are encouraged to call in from one central location so that all colleges may participate.

Dialing Instructions

- Participants dialing in from the VCCS VoIP network should dial:  814-225-0008.  (This is the number assigned to this conference call.) 

- Participants dialing in from locations "outside" the VCCS VoIP network need to contact their local colleges to get "off net" dialing instructions.  However,   

   if you are dialing “off net” in the 804 area code service area you may use the System Office off net number using the following instructions:

Dial 804-819-4791 and wait for the dial tone (System Office off net number)

Dial 814-225-0008 (the 10 digit number that has been assigned to the conference)
