SIS v8 Access: App Designer, Crystal, SQL+

 

All users of PeopleSoft SIS V7.6 currently have access to the web-based system in SIS Version 8.  This is the preferred method of accessing the database and should absolutely be used for all business processing.  This access will meet the needs of most users.

 

There are rare occasions when a user may need additional access to perform certain tasks.  Some examples of these are:

 

bullet Query/Crystal Developers need read/write access to the Crystal Developer Client.
bullet End-Users running college custom Crystal reports (NOTE that no special access is required to run PeopleSoft delivered Crystal reports.) need access to the Crystal Client for end-users.
bullet College developers who are creating SQRs and run-controls that will be run within PeopleSoft need update access to Application Designer
bullet College IT Staff who run oracle scripts need access to SQL Plus

In order to provide the best possible service and tracking of requests to add access, we ask that individual IssueTrak issues be submitted for each type of access.   When submitting an IssueTrak request for access, please do the following:

 

  1. Select the appropriate issue type
     
bullet SIS V8 Access: Crystal Reports (NOTE: you must specify whether the request is for “Developer” or “End-User” access)
 
bullet SIS Version 8 - App Designer Access (NOTE: you must specify whether the request is for “read-only” or “update” access)
 
bullet SIS Version 8 – SQL Plus Access
 
  • provide the user name(s) and ID(s),
  • Provide a justification for why the access is needed
  • Indicate whether the access is read/write or read-only
  • Indicate for which database the access is being requested (Development, Test, etc.).
