The development instance of PeopleSoft V8 (V8 DEVELOPMENT) is now available for use by the general college population.  The data is from the November 10^th production backup.  The upgrade team has been working feverishly to provide a working environment in which to develop.  Individual user security is the same as that from the Production system (as of 11/10/04) . 

Although most functionality is available, please note that at present, the following areas are NOT ready for testing: 
            IVR
            Credit Card Processing
            Customized Crystal Reports
            Any SQRs or other processes that require and input or output file
            The Print Pushbutton from any page
            Application Designer 

DO NOT REPORT ANY PROBLEMS IN THE ABOVE LIST TO ISSUETRAK.  We are aware and are working on delivering that functionality. 

Information for requesting client access to V8 Development (for Application Designer) as well as client installation instructions will be forthcoming from Client Services. 

Additionally, you may receive an error when processing customized SQRs.  The most likely error will say something like “Cannot find file – filename”. The probable reason for this error is that the filenames are case sensitive and the name in the program is not in the same case structure as the name of the file in the database.  For this error DO submit an IssueTrak ticket to have the code corrected.  Include the program (SQR) name and the error message.
